When I was a little girl, I spent every spare minute I had inside a book. My home was noisy and chaotic—and often scary. I longed for a different world. I loved The Chronicles of Narnia. I read every Nancy Drew book I could get my hands on. Does anyone else remember those? How about The Secret Garden or Island of the Blue Dolphins? Then I moved on to more magical stories…because I needed more magic. The Hobbit. The Lord of the Rings. C. S. Lewis’s Space Trilogy. Those stories carried me through high school and toward the hope that soon, I would be out on my own. I thought growing up would mean far less need to read and escape. We can all laugh at that now. Adulthood brought challenges of its own, and once again, reading brought me peace. Stories reminded me that no matter how dark life became, there was still courage, goodness, faith—and a little magic—to be found. I wrote the Legend of Inheritance series quickly. The story simply came to me, and once it began, it wouldn’t let me go. It begins with Light Watchers, a supernatural story filled with mystery, unexpected twists, family, faith, spiritual warfare, and the timeless battle between light and darkness. The journey continues in The World Between, where the world the characters only imagined becomes frighteningly real. And it culminates in The War of Crowns, where they must face a destiny—and a battle—none of them ever believed possible. Beginning tomorrow, Light Watchers will be only $0.99 on Kindle. I know—it’s crazy. I’ve hardly promoted this series, but that changes this weekend. These books deserve to be read. The readers who discovered Light Watchers were so excited about the story that they pushed me to finish the entire trilogy in record time. If you need an escape this weekend, I would love to take you into another world. Enter the world of Light Watchers for only $0.99 But be warned: once you step into the light, you may discover that the darkness has been watching you all along.
If you need an escape this weekend...you can visit another world...for .99

The last few months have been...well, the right word is HELL. (H. E. double hockey sticks as my sister would say.) It's early. It's new...but a shift took place in my mind, my spirit, in me. First I sensed it...and now I can feel it. If I had to put a name to it...I would call the shift, Hope. I have begun to hope again. I'm struggling to believe this possibility is in front of me. Britton boy has had seizure after seizure and when he was conscious, he was raging and angry. He even cried a...
Friends, What if destiny doesn’t look the way we expect? I'm convinced there is a place between worlds... When I finished writing Light Watchers, I thought I understood the world I had created. I thought I knew the path ahead for Riggs… for Millie… and for the strange inheritance just beginning to unfold. I was wrong. Because beyond that story lies another place…A place where lives are changed—and destiny is revealed. A world that goes deeper than you think. The World Between (Book Two in the...
I'm writing to you from the front lines this year. I hope you get this before the holiday season ends. I'm never sure whether I'll have time to send it. It's been that kind of battle of late. Not enough soldiers, and definitely not enough generals at the top to send reinforcements. Besides, who wants to bring anyone else into a war like this one, an endless war where there are no winners? In case you ever wondered, I do imagine winning. What it would be like for this war to end. Most soldiers...
